Ruskin Gig - 25th Jan 06

It has to be said that the fishbowl-like acoustics of the Ruskin wine bar, Sheffield City centre aren't made for the likes of 'Heads up' or 'Restless Spirit' but outroads played to interupted dining regulars until they were forced to enjoy the show..
Luckily, punters had been lulled previously into a false sense of calm security by the sweet and intricate voice and guitar of Danny Flecknoe who had people captivated. I even spotted the bar manager trying to poach him for his acoustic nights!
All in all a fantastic show!

blues cafe gig, harrogate

after a hairy start to the night at the blues cafe bar, Harrogate, outroads were determined the show must go on! mikes were begged and borrowed and stands were created from wood, celotape and drum stands! and what a show it was... the crowd were 'blown away' and simon, landlord, has already asked them back for more!

Boardwalk Gig - 18th Jan 06

Quite a strange line-up this one. Couldn't quite figure out what the organisers had in mind...

First up an acoustic duo; female vocals, male acoustic guitar. Sounded like a mix of fairly old (60's/70's) familiar covers and possibly originals scattered here and there. Unfortunately not a great crowd to make these two feel loved, went down pretty well considering.

Outroads played as if to a much much fuller audience. By this stage (around 9.30pm on a Wednesday night) the crowd had swelled to a massive 25, maybe 30 people. It seems nothing will get these vipers out mid-week of a chilly Sheffield evening.
But.....believe it or not, Outroads sold every album!! Impressive to say the least. The sound wasn't the best I have to say, which makes the latter all the more gob-smacking.

NEW ALBUM!

OUTROADS RECORD NEW ALBUM

Outroads have been (characteristically) MAD busy during the course of the past seven days.
Under-taking a bit of a mammoth task to say the least, they have managed to record an entire album, LIVE, containing no less than 15 songs.

The Album, ("Goodbye to all That,") is a pulsating, demanding, all-consuming, gorgeous feast. It manages to sound old and dusty, yet fresh, new, ripe and irrefutably now...maybe even tomorrow.(yeh ok) Ah f**k it, you've just got to hear it. And I'll let you know when you can.
